What does Rug-Ed's warranty cover?

Rug-Ed 1-Year Warranty

Rug-Ed offers a 1-year limited manufacturer warranty on a majority of Rug-Ed products. Rug-Ed products purchased from unauthorized distributors or resellers are not covered by the 1-year warranty. Certain Rug-Ed products may have different warranties, which will be explicitly stated here. Examples of products with different warranties are, but not limited to, screen protectors, locking pins, detachable stands, and carrying straps. Accidental drops, installation failures, normal wear and tear, etc. caused by the owner are not covered under this warranty.

Important Note: For purchases made on Amazon.com, eBay, or any other online marketplaces, the warranty mentioned above may or may not qualify. Only products sold specifically by Official Rug-Ed online stores are covered by these warranties. Rug-Ed products sold by any other seller(s) on these platforms will not qualify.

Rug-Ed General Defect Warranty

Rug-Ed offers a 90-day general warranty for defects. Defect is defined as an imperfection or flaw that is produced by a manufacturing error. Accidental drops, installation failures, etc. caused by the owner are not covered under this warranty.

Defects caused by any other accident, including failure of installation, carelessness by the user, or defects caused by owner's usage, cannot be applied for this warranty. For products that come as a package, only the defected item from the package will be remedied. The original product is needed for any future warranty requests regarding the order.

All products listed below come with a 90-day general warranty:

  • Detachable stands
  • Locking pins
  • Carrying straps

How can I file a warranty claim?

Once the product is received by Rug-Ed, the product will be inspected (within 7-10 business days of receipt on average) to determine if it is covered under the limited warranty. If the product is determined to be covered under the Limited Warranty, Rug-Ed, under its judgment and discretion, will repair, replace, or recondition the product. Rug-Ed Products, Inc. will pay for the shipment of any replacement parts or products under the limited warranty to remedy the defective product.

DISCLAIMER: All products returned to Rug-Ed Products, Inc. will be subject to review for authentication. If any of the products are found to be counterfeit it will be confiscated and turned over to Rug-Ed's legal department for further actions. These counterfeit items will not be returned once in the possession of Rug-Ed Products, Inc.

    My iPad broke while it was in a Rug-Ed case. Will you replace it?

    We’re sorry to hear that. While our cases offer extra shock and impact protection from drops, we can’t guarantee that they will prevent any and all damage to the device. If you drop them hard enough, from high enough, or onto a sharp or protruding element, your device may still be damaged.

    Since our Warranty covers only Rug-Ed products, it won’t cover damage to any device or personal property. Per our Warranty policy, Rug-Ed has no liability for any damage or destruction to consumer electronic devices or other personal property that are in the products, including, without limitation, laptops, smartphones, cell phones, and tablets.

    How do I return my product for a refund?

    Contact us for a return authorization. Once approved, return your product to Rug-Ed Products, Inc., 717 Brea Canyon Road, Suite 6, Walnut, CA 91789. Include your packing slip. Once we have received your product, your original payment method will be refunded within 3-5 business days. For more information about our return policy, please click here.

      Where can I find instructions on how to install or remove one of your cases?

      Many of our product pages include a link to that product’s instructions. If you don’t see one, please reference our YouTube Channel and search for installation or uninstallation videos.

        Where can I find information on which case is compatible with my device?

        Many of our product pages include a section called Compatible Devices, where you can locate which device or product best fits your needs.

          When will you release a new case for my device?

          Due to our design and manufacturing processes as well as agreements with our partners, Rug-Ed is not able to release product launch dates or timelines to customers at this time. If you have questions regarding new product release dates, please contact us directly or sign up for our mailing list for product updates.

            How do you clean the case?

            Our cases can generally be cleaned with mild soap and water, then air dried or dried lightly with a paper towel. Click here for more information on how to keep your Rug-Ed case clean from bacteria.


            Shipping Questions

            When can I expect to receive my order?

            Please note that Rug-Ed and delivery services are experiencing delays due to COVID-19. At the moment, we are exceeding a 72 hour processing time and in some cases longer. Estimated shipping times, including our processing period, is 8-13 business days. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

              Will I be able to track my order? If so, how do I track it?

              Yes. Once the order has been shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking information. Please note, it may take 1 – 2 days after shipment, and in some cases longer, for the tracking information to update.
